This is an attractive split bib dickie pattern for chunky machines. The generously sized bibs provide coverage for the chest and back. The tall, doubled rib collar provides plenty of warmth!

This pattern was written for the Brother KH-260 (with a ribber) but can be produced on other 9mm knitting machines if you know the equivalent carriage settings and have the ability to use punch cards. You may be able to make this without a ribber, but it will be a lot of manual ribbing, as the collar is quite a few rows!

The tuck stitch used in the pattern is Brother Chunky card 1P (1x1 alternating tuck).

This fits an adult man or woman, and can be resized. The size of the bibs are determined by the number of collar stitches you need to use for your particular neck circumfrence. This is explained in the pattern.

This project uses only about 1 skein of Hobby Lobby I Love this Yarn (but tuck stitch can be yarn-hungry, so it would be wise to have a little extra on hand).

This garment is constructed all in one piece by splitting the needles into sections and utilizing the holding position (partial knitting) to produce the bibs. It’s a fairly quick project that makes a great addition to a winter wardrobe, or a quick gift for the holidays!
