Bulky Toddler Sweater
This is a simple no fuss, top down sweater for a toddler. You have the option to knit this with rolled edges, ribbed edges, or a mix of the two. Should be appropriate for beginner knitters, and intermediate or advanced knitters will likely find this a breeze!
Sizes in Pattern:
• 1-2 years:
Arms: 7.5 inches
Armpit to Hem: 7 inches
Chest: 21.5 inches
• 2-4 years:
Arms: 8 inches
Armpit to Hem: 8 inches
Chest: 24 inches
• The pattern would be easy to adapt in body or sleeve length.
Materials:
•One pair US 8 (5mm) circulars
o (If you don’t use magic loop, you will also need US 8 DPNs for the sleeves)
• One pair US 10 (6mm) circulars
o (If you don’t use magic loop, you will also need US 10 DPNs for the sleeves)
• One tapestry/yarn needle
• Four stitch markers
• Tape measure
• Scrap yarn or stitch holders
• 2 (3) skeins of KnitPicks Provincial Tweed held double
o or 275 - 410 yds of a bulky weight yarn
Gauge:
In stockinette stitch on US 10s:
16 stitches x 22 rows = 4 inches
