This is a pattern for mittens made with heavy worsted/bulky weight yarn, similar to Knit Picks Simply Wool Bulky. After several attempts with other patterns that just didn’t fit, I came up with this one. I wear a size 9 wedding ring, and my husband wears a 10. I made mittens to fit us each, and then a pair to fit my daughter.

The mittens in the picture are made from Knit Picks Simply Wool Bulky in Winnie (light) and Wilhelmina (dark). I used about 120 yards of the light and 27 yards of the dark for the Men’s Small size.
