A wee bumblebee meanders lazily between the rows of flowers on the crown of this whimsical colorwork tam.

Bumble features a rolled edge, corrugated ribbing, and stranded colorwork. On the top of the hat, a bee motif is worked over one segment of the crown, if desired. After blocking, the body and head of the bee are recolored using duplicate stitch.

The tam uses approximately 90 yds [83 m] of each of three colors, and is sized to fit an average woman’s head.

To fit head circumference: 21­–23” 53–58 cm

Gauge
28 sts x 33 rows = 4” [10 cm] in stockinette stitch.

Needles
US 2 [2.75 mm] needles, dpns or circs, according to your preference for working small circumferences in the round.
