Bumble Bee Bonnet
Materials: 5mm circular needles, a darning needle, a cable needle. 250 meters of yarn (I used Sheperds Own by Fibra Natura
250 meters/ 100grams and I didn’t use all of it)
Gauge: 20 sts x 27 rows = 10x10 cm/ 4x4 inches
Abbreviations:
k: knit
p: purl
C4B: slip 2 sts onto a cable needle and hold in the back of the work, knit 2 sts, knit the 2 stitches from the cable needle.
CF4: slip 2 sts onto a cable needle and hold in the front of the work, knit 2 sts, knit the 2 stitches from the cable needle.

Construction: The bonnet is started with a square made in a honeycomb-cable pattern that sits on the top of the head. Stitches are picked up along the sides of the square. The honeycomb cable pattern is continued on the sides in 8 row repeats. After the desired length is reached, an i-cord edge is worked along the bottom and top, with straps added.
