Bumble is a versatile pattern that can be worked up in 200g as a half hap/triangular shawl, or 400g as a more traditional full hap shape that can be work doubled over for extra cosiness.

With subtle honeycomb shapes, it’s a nod to the beauty of bee architecture.

Construction
Worked from the bottom-point up, with increases every row over a six-row sequence. The body of the triangular half hap finishes when up to 95%/ 190g of yarn has been used up.

The full hap is worked in the same way, swapping to decreases when up to 190g has been used and 210g remains unused. Decreases are also worked over a six-row sequence. The hap body is finished when the stitch count is back down to 9 stitches.

A simple border is added using double crochet and double slip stitches.

Blocked gauge is 16 HBtr sts and 11 rows over 10cm/ 4”.
Each blocked honeycomb cluster is 5.5cm/ 2.25”” wide and 2.5cm/ 1” deep.
