I named Bumpass Shawl after the little town I live in. The original shawl in natural DK weight yarn, was knitted with yarn from Holly Hill Alpacas (http://www.hollyhillalpacas.net) located in Bumpass, just a few minutes from my house.

The second shawl has been worked with Knit Picks Wonderfluff yarn in Bulky weight yarn. This is an oversized version. The yarn is so soft and fluffy and makes it so nice to curl up for the colder months.

The pattern includes some interesting unique lace cable design and some twisted cables which open up after washing and blocking. I added some swallowtail tips for interest.

The large needles will bring you an instant enjoyment, because this will be a quick project. This is a project for the adventurous beginner to intermediate knitter. The pattern includes written and charted directions.
