Bumper Crop
Bumper Crop is a triangular shawl that is knit sideways. It has beautiful traveling stitches, some textured bits, and best of all? It’s practically ALL garter stitch!
The story of this shawl is one of warmth and beauty. The growing wheat fields along the bottom and the wave of water and heat tell of the growth and maturing of the small seeds of grain into the beautiful sheaves of wheat in the second panel.
The second panel shows the bounty of the bumper crop and the reaping of the grain into the picturesque bundles of wheat which are then trampled out and threshed into the myriad of berries and bits of grain shown in the third and final panel of the shawl.
