Bumpy Beanie and Cowl
Based on a knitting stitch called Tuck Stitch in the older books and Bubble Stitch or Bobble Stitch these days, this is an easy stitch knit into a row below. Adds just enough texture and keeps you interested. Also looks great in multicolor - use up scraps!
Hat uses less than one skein of Wool Ease. Cowl less than 2 skeins.
Three sizes of hat given, also instructions for a matching Cowl included.
More details about gauge: Baby hat - 14” around; Medium hat - 17” around unstretched; Large hat - 19” around unstretched
Baby and Medium: 17 st x 32 rows per 4 inches in bubble on size 7 needles; 18 st and 44 rows in garter on size 6 needles
Large: 15 st x 30 rows per 4” in bubble on size 8 needles, 16 st and 40 rows garter on size 7 needles
