• pattern suggests #8 (5mm) needles. (not #9)
• if you’re making the Small size: on page 2, where pattern reads “Repeat rows 1-4 two more times (end on 12).” should read: “Repeat rows 1-4 two more times (end on 12). For Small, do not increase in Row 1 for 2nd and 3rd time (i.e. 1: Color A - k all stitches).”

This hat is a great project for those beginners who have been knitting for a while and are ready to work in simple patterns and play with color changes.

Decreasing method for crown shaping
In the pattern suggest using double pointed needles when shaping the crown section of the hat, but you can use the magic loop method if you’re more comfortable with that.

Sizes
This pattern comes in in 2 sizes, which fit heads from about 19” (small, unstretched) to 26” (large, stretched)

• Small – 19”-22” (48-56 cm) – yarn A: 100yd (92 m) yarn B: 75yd (68 m)
• Large – 22.5”-26” (57-66 cm) – yarn A: 115yd (105 m) yarn B: 85yd (80 m)
