Bun-Safe, Honeycomb Cable, Extra Wide Headband
An extra wide headband to accommodate pony-tails and high buns (or extra wide ears…).
My hair always gets tangled during the winter from scarfs and hats. Unfortunately, its hard to wear a hat and long hair in a bun at the same time. Instead of choosing between a warm head or untangled hair, I decided to knit this extra wide headband that will let me keep my bun and my ears.
Knitting Notes:
I held 2 strands of the Brown Sheep Worsted together to get the 3 stitches per inch gauge. Use whatever bulky yarn you like! The pattern is easily adjusted by adding or subtracting 8 stitches. Don’t go too small though! Cables are not very stretchy and WILL squeeze your head! (I had to remake this the first time I made it, for that reason)
