This is a beautiful, gender neutral, cable panel sweater, with cable stitch detail on front, back and sleeves of the garment.
Suitable for babies from 0 to 2 years, with instructions for 6 sizes : 0-3 mths, 3-6 mths, 6-9 mths, 9-12 mths, 12-18 mths & 18-24 mths.
There is a button opening across the left shoulder for ease of wearing.

The sweater is knitted in DK (light worsted /8 ply) yarn and can be knitted in any varity of these yarns as long as the knit tension required for the pattern is achieved. It is a perfect pattern for all seasons as this design works well in wool, cotton, acrylic and blended yarns. I have knitted this garment in Sirdar’s Cashmere, Merino, Silk DK yarn for a little bit of luxury!

The knit tension of a 10cm x 10cm (4’’ x 4’’) square, worked in stocking/stockinette stitch on 4mm (US6) needles should be 22 stitches x 28 rows.

The pattern requires the ability to work from written instructions for the cable panels on the body and sleeves (there is no chart instructions for the cable patterns).
