A burst of cheer in every season!

Buness is knit straight up from the brim; the crown decreases create shaping between the large flower motif. The classic flat tam shape is achieved by blocking over a dinner plate.

Diameter at widest point: 9 in (23 cm).

Yarn: Jamieson & Smith 2ply Jumper Weight (fingering weight, 100% Shetland wool, 115 m / 125 yds per 25 g ball).

Needles: 16 in (40 cm) circular needles in sizes US 2 (2.75 mm) and US 3 (3.25 mm). DPNs in size US 3 (3.25 mm). Always use the correct needles needed to achieve gauge.

Notions: Stitch markers, tapestry needle, cardboard disk, or plate 9 in (23 cm) diameter.

GAUGE
26 sts x 28 rnds = 4 x 4 in (10 x 10 cm) in Fair Isle pattern
on larger needles, after blocking.

ERRATA For Hardcover book only

• On round 2, sts 2, 5, 21, 29 & 45 are worked in MC
• Decreases shown on round 23 should be worked on round 22.
• When round 25 is complete, you will have 14 sts. Work k2tog to end of round – 7 sts. Then work i-cord as given.
