Bunny
Adorable little bunnies, knitted on DPN’s.
Fun note: in Denmark the Easter Bunny is a Hare, which is slightly bigger than a rabbit. It lives above the ground and not in caves. Rabbits are rare in Denmark whereas the Hare is very common all over the countryside. Hare’s and Rabbits looks very much the same, at least to the untrained eye. The Danish name Harekilling means Hare kitten.
Size:
The bunny is 6½cm long and 4cm high.
Yarn:
Spindrift, 100% Pure Shetland Wool from Jamieson’s of Shetland.
Shades:
25g shade 190 Tundra.
25g shade 141 Camel.
25g shade 343 Ivory.
1 bundle shade 236 Rosewood (RO)
Needles:
One set of double pointed needles (DPNs) 3mm (US 2½).
Tension:
10x10 cm = 26 st and 38 rows in stocking stitch.
Other materials:
Filling for the bunny: Fiber filling or sponge material cut in small pieces.
Harekilling
Små uimodståelige harekillinger, der strikkes på strømpepinde. Små øjne broderes på til sidst.
