Pattern for a bunny baby blanket / tapestry. This pattern comes with both a graph and written directions. There are 3 copies of the pattern in pink blue and purple. You are welcome to crochet it in whatever colors you would like (of course).

All single stitch crochet using the tapestry crochet technique (carrying yarn)

You will need 3 skeins of white (or background color) (A), 1 skein of Black (B) and 1 skein of Pink / Blue / whatever color (C) to complete this project. This is assuming a medium weight yarn and skein length of about 350 yards.

I recommend carrying all 3 colors through the entire project to keep it even. Alternatively, you could also carry the Black (B) & White (A) through the entire pattern and then use the (C) only in the 5 sections it is used (ears, checks and tail). If you don’t carry (C) it will make it so the color doesn’t show through the background, which I don’t mind because as long as its consistent through the entire pattern I think it looks great but some people don’t like it when the color shows through a bit. For doing the individual sections you leave the yarn of that color behind, finish your row, and turn around and pick it back up again when you get to that section. I have videos that show this if you’re interested. Any questions you have feel free to contact me and I will be happy to help

I recommend a medium weight (worsted weight) yarn with a J sized hook. The tapestry should come out to about 3’ feet wide (when crocheted with a J hook and medium weight yarn). This can vary pretty widely based on the person crocheting it. There are online conversion calculators where you basically crochet a test patch and then enter in your results to come up with a more specific size you’d get based on how you crochet and the yarn you’re using etc. Based on how I crochet I would get a 3’ width.
It is all single stitch crochet. In order to make this blanket you will need to know how to carry yarn (there are great Youtube videos that can teach you how to do the Tapestry Crochet Technique. I highly recommend trying a small simple pattern to practice carrying yarn before attempting a larger project. Carrying yarn gets more difficult as you add more colors.

110 stiches wide by 112 rows tall

Once you have purchased this pattern a text document that like this (below) will automatically download to you. If you have any trouble receiving it message me and I will have it e-mailed to you in no time. This pattern also comes with a Graph!

1.) A-150
2.) A-30, B-20, A-10, B-50
3….

The #’s are for each row
The letters are for different colors. (A = White (or background color), B = Black, C = Pink / Blue / Purple / whatever color you’d like)
(so the above pattern would have the first row be 150 stitches of color A. 2nd row would have 30 stitches of color A followed by 20 stitches of color B followed by 10 stitches of color A and so on….)
