Bunny Emma
One warm summer day, little bunny Emma went to a clearing near her house to collect a bouquet of wildflowers. She hopped from flower to flower, picking the most beautiful ones. Birds were joyfully chirping in the trees nearby, honey bees and bumble bees were happily buzzing, and Emma was singing a little tune to herself when, suddenly, she realized she could hear a quiet crying sound. Coming gently closer, she found a tiny fairy sitting on a beautiful flower. “Who are you?”, bunny Emma asked gently, “And why are you crying?”. “I am a flower fairy”, the teeny tiny fairy replied with a sob, “I am crying because I have been left all alone. All my sisters have flown away and will not come back until next Spring. I have been blown away by a gust of wind and violently slammed against a tree branch, and my wings are badly injured now. Soon the cold will come and I will freeze to death”. “Oh, don’t cry, sweet fairy”, the little bunny said softly, trying to calm her down, “Do you want to come with me? You can live with me as long as it takes for your wings to heal”. “Oh, yes please!”, the fairy replied with a nod, wiping her tears. Emma carefully picked the flower on which the fairy sat and put it on her ear.
From then on, wherever bunny Emma went, the fairy always went with her. Hiding in the petals of her flower, the tiny fairy remained invisible to others. On long and cold winter evenings, when they were alone, they laughed and talked about everything in the world.
By the end of winter, the fairy had completely recovered, and when spring came, she flew away to join her sisters. But little bunny Emma never parted with the fairy’s flower. She knew that whenever she could, the flower fairy would surely visit her and they would laugh and talk about everything in the world again.
