1 skein of each is all that is needed for a single hat; you use very little of the cream and chartreuse and I was able to make 3 hats and still had about half the yarn left. The pattern calls for some embroidery knowledge (French knots and surface chain) and you’ll need a pom-pom maker for the tail. But the pattern works up very quickly
