The Burleigh Rapids Cowl pattern includes instructions for light bulky and bulky yarn weight versions. It is knit in the round, from the bottom up. The bottom and top includes a basic rib stitch. The body of the cowl is a cable pattern repeat. There are instructions for adjusting the height or width of the cowl. The cowl does fit closer to the neck and fits nicely under a jacket.

This pattern includes knitting in the round, knit stitch, purl stitch, and cable knitting.

The pattern does require wet blocking in order to get the best fit and relax the stitches. Wet blocking allows you to choose the best size for you, making gauge not overly important for this pattern.
