Burning Brioche Beanie
This is a 2 color brioche beanie with lots of cabling that is worked in the round. I made some YouTube tutorials and written instructions on 2 funky cable stitches I made up (plus how I do brLX and Round 8 of the pattern which is a nightmare because you cable across where the round begins/ends). These are also used for the Fireball Bag and Burning Hands Gloves that are currently only up on my Instagram, but patterns almost ready for testing. PDF has links to the videos and also linking them here:

Gauge is based on brioche ribbing NOT stretched out because the cabling prevents the beanie from being as stretchy as most beanies. A looser gauge is better than a tight gauge. Want to ensure that the beanie won’t be so tight on your noggin that you get a headache.
I was able to make the beanie, gloves, and bag all with 1 skein of each color from Critical Hit Dye’s worsted base “Fighter” (100 grams/ 219 yards/ 200 meter/ 4 ply) and still had some leftover. I did colorways Fireball and Obsidian Dragon.
The alternate colors are from Valkyrie Fibre Co’s Sailor Moon collection. As of this posting, she still has some of the Burning Mandala color left. You can either use 1 of the worsted base or 1 of the fingering skeins but then work from both ends to double the ply.
THIS WAS ACTUALLY TESTED, WOOT WOOT! Thanks to the testers! I can’t remember if you’re suppose to link testers down here or if that’s weird.
