Busenkel shawl
This pattern is
available for free.
Busenkel means super easy or super simple, the literal translation is ‘easy as play’, and this shawl really is super easy.
The whole shawl can be made with 1 setup row, and then a 1 row repeat, it cannot be simpler than this! Add your own flair by using different methods of increasing, add stripes, add stitch patterns, etc.
You can use any yarn for this, make a swatch in garter stitch with the needle size on the yarn label and go up or down in needle size until you find a fabric you like. Please add yarn, needle and gauge details to your project page to help others to find a combination they like.
Yarn quantity estimates for shawl approx. 160-180cm wingspan:
DK - 250 g / 450 m / 500 yds
4-ply/fingering- 200g / 750-800 m / 800-880 yds
