Bushwacker Sport
I love a hat with lining at the ears, but always thought a provisional cast on to join inside was an unnecessary step when it’s so easy to just whip stitch the lining into place. The Bushwacker Sport shows you a new way of creating a simple hat lining, without the fiddly provisional cast on but with the same professional, finished look. The sport weight yarn is the right amount of warmth for chilly days, and a little fair isle color work adds just the right amount of style.
Supplies:
Juniper Moon Tenzing, 50 grams/153 yds. One ball each of three colors.
Colors show = main color (MC) = 01 Rhone Night, Color A = 09 Alfalfa, Color B = 25 Spicy Mustard
16” circular needle in US 3 and 4 or size needed for gauge. Gauge should be 21-22 sts over 4 inches in stockinette, using larger needle. The smaller needle is used to knit the hat lining.
