Buster the Ghost
Included with the pattern is a copy of my version of The Canterville Ghost, originally a short story by Oscar Wilde.
A couple of years ago I wanted to crochet a mini amigurumi ghost, but all the patterns I could find were for ones you could hang up, none of them were designed to stand. So, I decided to design my own. As is often the case, my son Oliver adopted the prototype and called him Buster, which I thought was a perfect name for a chubby little ghost!
Buster is terrific for busting stash as he only uses up a small amount of yarn. He would also be a perfect Halloween treat to give out instead of candy.
You can make Buster bigger or smaller just by changing the yarn weight and/or hook size.
To complete this pattern you’ll need:
Worsted weight yarn in white. The one shown in the pattern was made using Schachenmayr Northern
Size F (3.75 mm) crochet hook
7.5mm black safety eyes
Polyester stuffing
Tapestry needle
Black embroidery floss for the (optional) smile
This pattern is short and straightforward: single crochet in the round, increases and decreases.
