For this placemat you need 1 ball of color 1 and 1 ball of color 2.

The size will be approximately 30 cm x 45 cm (12-inch x 18-inch)

This is a pattern which is done in the interwoven or locking crochet technique. You can learn all about this technique on the website of The CraftsTeacher with lots of pictures and accompanying video’s. If you have never done this technique before, you can learn how to do the practice piece of the Hooked and Locked CAL, which is available for free on her website. You can also watch the video’s of the Hooked and Locked CAL that she designed.
