Busy Day is a lightweight hat featuring a modern stranded colorwork pattern inspired by city streets, architecture, and urban fashion. It’s the perfect accessory to keep in your bag, ready to protect you from the elements.
The hat begins with a long-tail cast-on and is knit in the round, starting with a ribbed brim. The body is worked in stocking stitch, using two colors to create the striking stranded colorwork motifs.
The colorwork pattern is simple, with very short floats and only 24 rounds of stranded knitting, making it an excellent choice for those new to this technique.
Techniques: working in the round, working in small circumferences, stranded colorwork, follow a color chart, knit/purl, and decreases.
