But first coffee vest is a cool yet feminine vest. The coarse yarn underlines the cool effects. Style the vest with your summer dress, your go-to jeans, with a t-shirt, or on top of a shirt.
The vest is worked down-up. The vest is knitted in brioche stitches on 9 mm circular needles. The vest is knitted flat with the exception of the armholes. Begin with rib followed by the body in brioche stitches. The front- and back pieces are knitted flat separately. Pick up stitches for armholes and neckline/button band and knit stockinette stitches which are bent and knit together on the wrong side.
The vest has a positive ease of 10-20 cm. Measure your bust circumference (or the widest part of your body) to find the right size. E.g. your bust circumference is 98 cm, choose size M.
Make sure the tension is correct. Knit a swatch before you start to find the right needle size. The gauge is stated AFTER washing.
It is a good idea to read the entire pattern before you begin. Especially at the front and back pieces, where several decreases are made you should read the whole section before beginning.
