The Butter Upon Bacon Shawl
I was very fortunate to work with the dyer that created the yarn going into this pattern, Nicole Boylan of B-Team Fibers. She told me that her inspiration for the Heritage Collection of colourways was 1890’s fashion. Naturally, I fell in love with the yarn and was set on creating a pattern that would show it off. Butter Upon Bacon is a very old Victorian term for extravagant, which I think suits this piece perfectly.
Finished Sizes:
Instructions given to make a 62” L x 32” H shawl, with added notes for making a larger shawl.

I used B-Team Fibers Heritage Collection, which is a 80% merino/20% Angora, #2 Fingering weight yarn.
Any yarn of similar weight would work.
