Buttercup Squares
This pattern specifies yarn in ounces--not yards. Yardage estimates above are based on estimates of 50-75 yards per ounce for worsted weight yarn: White--1000-1500 yards / 914-1372 meters; Yellow--200-300 yards / 183-275 meters.
Published in 1976. One of four baby blanket patterns.
Materials:
- 20 oz. (567 g) worsted weight white and
- 4 oz. (113 g) worsted weight yellow
Crochet hook H (Canadian size 6) or size needed for gauge.
Gauge: 1 square in pattern = 5.5” / 14 cm square
The pattern calls for 48 squares, worked in 5 rounds each. After joining the squares, you work an edging in 3 rounds.
