Pattern Description:

This pattern was created because of the work I do with a charity group called Join the Love.

Join the Love is a group of global volunteers who create memory blankets for families who have recently suffered the loss of a child.

Join the Love asks volunteers to use their crochet or knit talents to create 1 square dedicated to the special memory of each child lost. All of the squares are collected by 1 volunteer & then assembled into a blanket in honor of the deceased child’s memory in hopes of providing comfort & love to the grieving family.

Butterflies Around the Flower Garden Square

This is an Intermediate level pattern written in US Crochet Terms

This Butterfly & Flower Square was inspired by a beautiful young lady who passed away recently in a car accident. She was raised on a farm & loved nature. Her name was Mikayla & she was only 16 years old when she passed away. She had a beautiful personality & was a great friend to all!

I designed this pattern with her in mind & I hope that it will honor her memory for her family & friends!

You can make multiples of this square to make your own afghan or other project.
