This beautiful lace pattern reminds me of the Monarch butterflies that migrate through our area every year.

The pattern is worked from the bottom up, using charts. There is pattern on both sides. Stitches include the usual suspects such as knit, purl, yarn over, K2tog, SSK, and S2KP. And maybe some new ones - knit or purl through the back loop, K3tog, and SSSK.
