These knitted butterflies can be made into a baby mobile, or used as a soft toy for a child or baby. My 3 month old daughter absolutely loves them! The skills needed to complete this pattern are:

making an icord
picking up stitches
knitting in the round using DPNs
SSK- slip, slip, knit
K2tog- knit two together
