This is a shawlette pattern, machine knitted in three parts, joined on the machine. It could be knitted on any machine dependent on the yarn, but 4 ply sock yarn works well on a standard gauge, knit loosely.

The finished shawlette sits neatly on the shoulders, and stays in place.

As a rough guide, 100g of yarn should suffice or less.
