Butterfly Baby Blanket
About The Design:
The inspiration for this design was a photo of an Eastern Tailed Blue Butterfly. I was captivated by the colors in the wings and just had to design a butterfly blanket.
The blanket could also easily be a wall hanging, as it is so graphic.
Like the other blankets in this series, it is knit with doubled strands of Cascade Yarns Eco+ Peruvian wool yarn, with a touch of doubled Cascade 220 for the duplicate stitched gold wing spots.
Note:
Yarn is used doubled throughout.
Finished Dimensions:
Width across upper wingtips: 51”
Length of butterfly body (center): 27”
Width across lower wingtips: 35”
Yarns:
Cascade Eco+: 1 hank each #8449 (med. blue), 5342 (deeper blue), 8010 (black), and 0050 (natural)
Cascade 220: small amount of #7827 (gold)
Substitute Yarn Weight: Heavy worsted used double, or super bulky
Happy Knitting!
