Butterfly Cape
Warm, cozy and quick to knit, this cape poncho is constructed seamlessly from the top down in Super Bulky yarn. Because of the very big gauge, no buttonholes are required – you can fasten the buttons by pressing them through the stitches themselves.
One size fits most. Makes a great last minute gift. You will need an extra long circular needle to hold all the stitches! I used a 58” (148cm) one.
Stitches Used:
knit (K), purl (P), make 1 right/left (M1R/M1L), slip purlwise with yarn in front (slP)
Materials:
- Super Bulky weight yarn, about 560 – 570 yards
- size US 17 (12.00mm) extra long circular needles
- 15 extra large stitch markers
- 4 large buttons – about 1.25” (3cm) diameter
