This pattern is a basic cloche. Solid crown and a body made up of solid rounds and sounds with small openings. To add a little fun, there are three 3-Dimensional butterflies around the edge next to the face.

A chart is provided at the end of the pattern with the dimensions you will need to make sizes that fit preemies to adult women. If you follow the chart, or have a “model” available, you do not need a gauge.

I used about half of a skein of sock yarn for my size 6 - 12 month hat. For the butterflies, I chose to make them out of #3 Fashion Thread to add a color and texture contrast.
