My inspiration for this Butterfly Cowl was a bright skein of cozy Indigo Moon. This lace design is great for someone that has tried lace before but is looking for some lace upon lace type challenge. An intermediate knitter, can make a few of these in no time since it’s roughly only 140 to 160 yards. But if you are new to lace, make sure to take your time and remember to use stitch markers. They are really helpful at keeping your pattern repeats in order.

This pattern is for an intermediate knitter and is knit with any worsted weight yarn. It has an easy to read chart and is worked in the round. You don’t have to limit yourself to knitting a cowl. Simply cast on a few extra stitches and you’ve got yourself a universal scarf!

The finished blocked size measures: 7.5” tall and 21” wide.

Materials required:
90g of worsted weight yarn
US 10/ 6mm circular needles, 24’ / 60 cm

Skills: knit, purl, yarn over, decreases.
