Butterfly Garden
This pattern uses popcorn stitch to create 3d flowers which butterflies hover around. I have tried to combine techniques that give the blanket some open work and lightweight qualities and more dense stitches for warmth. This variegated pink was requested by the person for whom I have designed it. I think a block colour would work really well or a mandala baby yarn. It is not a professional pattern and whilst I have tried to check the pattern carefully please let me now if you find any errors or anything that doesn’t seem to make sense. Some rounds are symmetrical but others aren’t so please don’t worry if the pattern calls for 18 stitches one side but 12 on the other with a butterfly. When counting stitches remember to count the equivalent when counting over chain spaces.
Photos are provided to help you over tricky bits.
I have included information and instructions about the hidden stitch which some of you may not have heard of. I have described and provided photos for making leaves using c2c techniques.
