This pattern can be worked in multiple sizes depending on how large you want it (simply going up hook sizes and using bulkier material will affect size) - but also, the pattern includes two different graphs. While I made the Butterfly Garden Mat - the other graph is designed for the little man in your life and is a bumble bee!

This pattern is an “advanced” pattern but only because of the sewing together and the border. The pattern takes creativity outside of just reading written instructions. While there are images and instructions to take you step by step through it all, you have to use your own creativity for stitch placement on the border and when sewing together… not to mention sewing on a back if you want that option! :)

The mobile also needs something under the play mat to help stabilize it. The pattern suggests lining though making TWO crocheted playmats and sewing them together should also make it strong enough to support the mobile :)

This is a fun pattern that anyone regardless of skill level can make… but it definitely requires some creativity ;)
