Pattern Notes:
This summer tote is a great companion at a farmer’s market or the beach and is a relaxing knit while the weather is hot. The butterfly and flower motifs are worked in mosaic colorwork, which only requires using one color at a time!

This bag is constructed from the bottom up, first by knitting flat, and then by joining in the round. An applied I-cord edging finishes the top of the bag and strengthens the handles.

The pattern includes 2 PDFs:

  • A “chart only” version which provides a condensed format for those who are familiar with mosaic knitting and prefer using charts.
  • A “written” version which provides both charts AND fully written round-by-round instructions.
