Butterfly Garden Bag
This pattern was designed for Chicago Yarn Crawl 2018! Visit Idea Studio in La Grange, IL from July 28th to August 5th, 2018 to receive this pattern for free!
Pattern Notes:
This summer tote is a great companion at a farmer’s market or the beach and is a relaxing knit while the weather is hot. The butterfly and flower motifs are worked in mosaic colorwork, which only requires using one color at a time!
This bag is constructed from the bottom up, first by knitting flat, and then by joining in the round. An applied I-cord edging finishes the top of the bag and strengthens the handles.
The pattern includes 2 PDFs:
- A “chart only” version which provides a condensed format for those who are familiar with mosaic knitting and prefer using charts.
- A “written” version which provides both charts AND fully written round-by-round instructions.
