Cute 10” Granny Square with four butterflies that stand out from the crowd. Center flower and butterflies are 3 dimensional and worked in overlay techniques. The budding roses that surround the square are a brand new twist on a very popular floral stitch. They have detailed rose petals made by a special overlay stitch I designed. The only thing old fashioned about this square is the traditional granny square background.

Square is 10” if you use Red Heart Super Saver or comparable. It is approximately 9” if you use Caron Simply Soft. I prefer my Susan Bates inline 4.25 which says it is a G hook… but the 4.5 says G too. I think for Caron Simply Soft a 4.0 would work great too but you’ll get a slightly smaller square. Skill level is intermediate. This pattern requires you to know how to read American crochet patterns / abbreviations. All special stitches are described in detail with photographs to point out special details.

Pattern requires US Letter sized paper and will NOT print on other paper sizes such as A4.
