Butterfly Kisses
I’ve wanted to use this tulip pattern in a design for ages. I found the tulip pattern in a knitting book entitled, “The Encyclopedia of Knitting” by Lesley Stanfield and Melody Griffiths.
For my baby blanket, I added a few more rows of leaves and different heights of tulips. My garden was almost complete. All I needed were some butterflies. The smaller butterflies remind me of the white butterflies I use to chase when I was little. I love the results and it was so much fun to make.
The color is beautiful, and the yarn is very soft. Just right for babies. The yarn is especially nice, since you can wash it (gentle cycle, cold water), and just lay it flat to dry.
The pattern is all charted. There are written instructions for the small and the large butterfly only.
