This ripple or wave necklace is created by using two strands of crochet thread in differing thicknesses held together. It is finished off with a sewn on metal clasp and a sewn on ceramic butterfly bead attached to the right side of the necklace.
To create more visual interest, the fabric may be created as a two-toned speckled design rather than a mono-toned color by substituting a contrasting color for the second thread strand.
This pattern is written using U.S. crochet terminology.
