Butterfly Whirl Shawl
Little lace butterflies flutter and whirl over this ample half-circle shawl with a slight ruffle.
A hand dyed yarn adds extra interest to the lace pattern, or opt for a solid to really feature the eyelet design.
Knit top down using the Pi method and finished with a picot bind off.
Intermediate skill: basic stitches with some easy repeat on WS rows
Size: 56” wide x 24” deep (142 x 61cm)
Yarn: 4 skeins The Plucky Knitter Scholar 2.0 (250yds/230m,115g/4oz, 75% merino wool/25% cashmere) Shown in Tutti Frutti
Needles: US 7 (4.5mm) 32”/80cm circular needle, or desired length, or size to obtain gauge You may want several lengths as the stitches increase
Gauge: 17 sts and 24 rows = 4”/10cm in stockinette, after blocking
