A one-row wonder! From 1892 Butterick’s The Art of Knitting, p.13, this VERY simple pattern has 1 row. Any odd number of stitches will work. A vertical column of 5 to 7 stitches would make a nice accent next to other stitch patterns. This lace looks the same on both sides.

Skills needed: cast on, knit, YO, k2tog and bind off in knit stitch.

Gauge is not important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.
