The Buttermilk Cowl is an infinity scarf worked in the round and packed with small but mighty cables plus a generous helping of seed stitch for maximum texture and squishiness. Each row of the pattern repeat is easy to memorize, giving you a visually complex surface texture with that’s a breeze to knit.

This pattern matches the Buttermilk Toque.

This pattern is for you if… You are an unabashed lover of 2x2 cables, you can’t get enough of seed stitch, and the thought of combining the two leaves you breathless.

Move along if… Lots and lots of cables are not your idea of a good time.

• 1 US 6/4mm 32”/81cm circular needle, or size necessary to obtain gauge
• 1 US 7/4.5mm 32”/81cm circular needle, or size necessary to obtain gauge
• stitch markers
• tapestry needle for weaving in ends

GAUGE

• Per 4”/10cm in pattern, blocked: 24 stitches / 34 rows
• Per 18-stitch pattern repeat: 3” / 7.6cm wide
