Butters the Hamster uses a 2.5 mm hook. I used Ricorumi DK Cotton Yarn. When using the recommended hook size, yarn and yarn under (x stitch), it measures 4.25 inches/10.8 centimeters. 

Some of the skills used in this pattern are chain, single crochet, increase, decrease, and finish off. The pattern includes complete assembly details with pictures.
