This ear warmer is the second in a collection of patterns inspired by my button jar and simple stitches. The stitch pattern name is a bit of a mystery (I’ve heard it called lemon peel, griddle stitch, AND seed stitch), but I have used it on many different projects over the years. My Button Jar Cowl is made with the same construction and stitch pattern if you want to keep your neck and ears warm. I hope you have as much fun picking out buttons as I did! Great for confident beginners.

Skill level: Beginner

Gauge: 13 sts x 13 rows = 4” x 4”

Supplies:
H (5.0mm) hook or hook to meet gauge (you may need to go up a size or two just for the starting ch if it’s too tight)
42-85 yards of WeCrochet Brava, Brava Tweed or other worsted (4) weight soft yarn
Handful of buttons
Scissors
Tapestry needle
Measuring tape
Stitch markers
Sewing needle & thread

My testers loved this project - it was easy to get into the rhythm and it works up fairly quickly.
