Button Up! Leg warmers
Pattern by : 2KMama on Ravelry.
********correction***
Make button holes on opposite sides of work.
First paragraph on second page should read:
“Work Row 1-16. Continue working rows 1-16 adding 1 stitch each side of every 4th row between ribbing and lace pattern until 84 stitches are made. (Should work out to one more section of lace plus a purl and 2 knit on each side.)”**
As written, these will be 22” long. They will wrap under the heel. If you want them to overlap just the top of your shoes, then the total knitted length should be around 15” or 16”. Circumference at ankle: 12” and at calf: 14.5”. This pattern is easy to adjust by adding either ribbing on edge or adding stitches between edge ribbing and lace work.
Work both leg warmers at the same time. This will ensure they are the same length and are (relatively) matching.
