Buttoned Gingham Valance
The versatile design of this valance can be made in any color to suite your decor. The buttons are tied on with 1/8” wide satin ribbon to complete the effect. It is worked from the top down and includes a repeat in the pattern to increase the width of the valance to fit your window. Button tabs are added to button over a 5/8” diameter curtain rod. A chart is included for reference. Skill Level: Intermediate.
Finished Size:
19” long (from top of rod)
63-1/2” wide
Pattern repeat = 3-1/4” wide

10 blocks/spaces x 10 rows =
3-1/4” wide x 3-3/8” high
Approximately 2100 yards are needed to complete the valance, with an extra 100 yards needed for each additional pattern repeat.

20 - 7/8” decorative buttons
1/8” wide satin ribbon or sewing thread to match
