This pattern is for Basic Women’s Toe Up socks, in stocking stitch, and is suitable for someone new to knitting socks toe-up.

Fingering weight (4ply) yarn is specified with one circular needle (ability to use magic loop method is assumed). It is suitable for knitting two-at-a-time (2AAT). The easy, detailed heel turn eliminates all holes.

Measurements are in centimetres, as this is more accurate than inches. To convert centimetres to inches, divide by 2.54.

SIZING: Based on craftyarncouncil.com standards for foot sizes:
Measurements (cm) S M L
Foot circumference (measured around the foot, just above the toes). 17.5cm, 20.5cm, 23.0cm (6.9, 8.1, 9.1 inches)
Foot length (pattern gives details on how to adjust for foot length) 23.0cm, 25.5cm, 28.0cm (9.1, 10.0, 11.0 inches)
