Skills Needed
To knit this shawl you need to feel confident with a knit stitch, purl stitch, and various increase and decrease stitches (yarn overs, knit-front-and-back, slip-slip-knit, for example).

If you’re an adventurous beginner, you will already feel comfortable with knitting and purling (maybe you’ve already made a flat scarf or baby blanket?). With this shawl, you will expand that knowledge and learn how to shape your work with increases and decreases; how to turn ribbing into something beautiful with purposeful dropped stitches; and how to make the edges of your work look neat and professional with an icord edge.

If you’re an experienced knitter, you will quickly memorise the pattern and be able to pick it up and put it down easily. Have fun with picking colours and cue up your favourite TV show or audio book to accompany this relaxing knit!
